The Valencia Marathon has been held since 1981. There are 42,195 kilometers, which in 2011 are transformed, being the race that we currently know. The Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon EDP is a circuit that takes place at a perfect time of the year for the practice of long-distance tests, and next to the incomparable environment such as the City of Arts and Sciences. In the 2017 edition, all time records were beat with the best record in Spain in history, obtained by the athlete Sammy Kitwara with a time of 2:05:15. It is the fastest marathon in Spain at male and female level, since Valary Jemeli Aiyabei, in 2016 with a time of 2:24:48. In addition, every year the registered participants mark is exceeded, the last one being above 18,000 runners and a number of 16,300 reaching the finish line. The next event will be on December 1st. Half Marathon Valencia The Trinidad Alfonso EDP Half Marathon is a fast circuit with a distance of 21,097 kilometers, which runs through the maritime Valencia and the city center. In 2014, it become the fastest half marathon in Spain, and in 2017 the fastest in the world in the female category thanks to Joyciline Jepkosgei, who crossed the finish line with a time of 1:04:51. Last year a total of 12,334 runners reached the finish line. Among the most outstanding numbers is the fact that for five consecutive years it has been the fastest half marathon in Spain, and the time for the last seven editions has been beaten. October 27 will be the new edition of 2019. 10k Valencia It is the parallel race, to the marathon of Valencia, of 10 km. A different test that shares departure and arrival in the City of Arts and Sciences, with a properly differentiated layout. A distance within reach of all runners. Participation is limited to 8,500 runners.
